Shifts are 3 hours in duration from 4am – 7am and/or 3pm – 6pm during school weeks. There may be additional work available during school holidays.

Aboriginal Education Program Coordinator
Classroom Teacher

Mazenod College is a Catholic Secondary Boys Day / Boarding School conducted by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate with an enrolment of 890 boys including 80 Boarding students. The student population also includes 23 Indigenous students.
The Principal is seeking applications from suitably experienced and qualified teachers to join the Mazenod staff as the Aboriginal Education Program Coordinator. This important leadership role works with Indigenous students in the College and in the Boarding Community. Mazenod College has an enrolment of 23 Aboriginal students from across the state, including boarding students from the Kimberley region and local day students.
The Aboriginal Education Program Coordinator will establish strong links between Aboriginal families, Aboriginal students, community organisations and school staff, and to oversee all aspects of the Aboriginal Education Program across the College.
The Teacher - Aboriginal Education Program Coordinator will apply their experience and expertise to provide direction and ongoing development to the College Aboriginal Education Program in Years 7 – 12 and assist in working with and developing other members of staff in this regard.
This full-time ongoing position will see the successful applicant engaged as a classroom teacher with a time allowance of approximately 0.5 FTE to complete the specific duties encompassed by the Aboriginal Education Program Coordinator’s role description.

Mazenod College invites applicants for this important middle management and leadership position. The role of Head of Learning Diversity is important to the learning needs of students at Mazenod College. This person leads a team of Learning Support teachers and Education Assistants in providing support to students with a range of learning needs.
The Head of Learning Diversity will oversee the case management of student IEP’s and CAP’s, while working with relevant Heads of Learning to meet the needs of support students. In addition, the Head of Learning Diversity will collaborate with the Aboriginal Education Teacher Assistant/ Director of Boarding and Gifted & Talented Coordinator to sustain a coherent, collaborative approach to meeting the diverse needs of students.

Mazenod College is seeking applications from appropriately qualified and experienced Career Counsellors to join the Careers Department. The Careers Counsellor is accountable to the Principal through the Deputy Principal - Teaching and Learning for the management and development of careers education.
The purpose of the position is in keeping with the Principal’s vision for preparing students to make well-informed decisions about future learning, careers and life opportunities as well as to provide information and programmes. The successful candidate will work closely with the Coordinator of VET and Workplace Learning to develop post-schooling programs and opportunities.
The position has a teaching component hence the successful candidate will require current TRBWA registration. Boarding Supervisor

The Principal of Mazenod College welcomes applications from interested members of the community to be employed as Boarding House Supervisors in our Cebula Boarding Community. The Boarding Supervisor is in a position of immense trust and must be committed to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of children is foremost in their decision making and actions in the performance of their role.
Boarding supervisors provide high quality supervision while maintaining appropriate behaviours when engaging with children that are consistent with College policies as well as legislative requirements.
Boarding Supervisors are an integral part of the Cebula Boarding Community and are essential to the pastoral well-being of our boarding students. The Boarding Supervisor will promote the safety and wellbeing of children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds as well as children of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.
Weekend shifts available are from 9am to 5pm or 5pm to 10.30pm. Applications are welcome from suitable candidates who may want one or multiple shifts. Applicants may also be interested in joining our weeknight/weekend relief pool of supervisors.

Due to an expansion in the breadth and depth of learning support services provided to students and a subsequent increase in the staffing of the Learning Support Team, the following two coordinator roles have been created;
ASDAN Coordinator

Both roles will initially be temporary appointments for Semester Two 2024 with the possibility of the roles becoming ongoing from 1 January 2025. Both roles have a 1 period per day time allowance for planning purposes.
These roles will suit candidates who are passionate about learning, childhood development and provide excellent pastoral care of students. The successful candidates will have a passion for providing pastoral and educational support to lower-secondary aged students.

Visual Arts Technician

Mazenod College is seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals with expertise, enthusiasm, innovation and a commitment to the shared vision of the College for the position of Visual Arts Technician.
The position is classified as Level 2 as per the salary schedule for Administrative and Technical Officers based on the non-teaching EBA for Catholic Education of WA employees. The position is part-time with a working pattern of 20 hours per week for 44 weeks of the year. The position is ongoing from 1 January 2025.
The Art Technician’s primary responsibilities are to provide assistance and support to teachers in the Visual Art department to ensure the smooth running of the day-to-day program of lessons according to the timetable and providing support for the variety of extracurricular activities.
Specific duties include but not limited to;
- Preparation of materials and equipment for lessons and projects, including preparation of demonstration materials and resources.
- Assist students with methods and technique during lessons, as directed by teaching staff.
- Ensure all students’ work and unused materials are returned to the appropriate storage area.
- Assist departmental staff in developing appropriate resources for teaching and learning.
- Assist with departmental displays and the preparation, mounting and installation of work around the College.
- Assistance to teachers in practical classes and on excursions.
