The Head of Learning Area will work cohesively with the Humanities and Social Sciences (HaSS) team and has overall responsibility for the delivery of the curriculum at the College. As a senior educator and subject specialist, the Head of Learning Area - HaSS will provide leadership and mentoring opportunities to staff within the department. The Head of Learning Area - HaSS will also coordinate and promote co-curricular activities related to the Humanities and Social Science department and subject.
Ideally, the successful candidate will commence at the beginning of Term 4, Monday 12 October 2026, but a 2027 commencement will be considered.
As a Middle Leader, you are required to model exemplary standards of pastoral care, support the wellbeing programs in the College and lead the academic, social and spiritual growth of our young men.

The Visual Art Technician (VAT) provides the practical, skilled and administrative support to the Visual Art Learning Area. They will assist in ensuring that scheduled lessons, programs, storerooms, exhibitions, competitions, excursions and co-curricular activities operate safely, efficiently and to a standard that is expected by the Head of Learning Area and Teaching staff in the College’s Visual Arts learning spaces.

Residential Boarding Supervisor
Fixed Term commencing as soon as possible until 31 December 2026
The Residential Boarding Supervisor is in a position of immense trust and must be committed to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of children is foremost in their decision making and actions in the performance of their role. The Residential Boarding Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the safety, wellbeing, and orderly environment of the boarding house during overnight hours.
This position offers a comfortable residential arrangement within the College boarding house, combined with occasional paid overnight/weekend supervisory duties. The successful applicant will be present overnight to ensure student safety and wellbeing and respond to any issues if they arise.
The position includes on-site accommodation and is well suited to an individual who has another daytime role or flexible employment.
On appointment, the successful applicants must have a current and valid Working with Children Check, a Western Australia Department of Education National Police History Check (NPHC) and a current First Aid certificate. Holding a Bronze Medallion qualification is advantageous.

Workshop Technician

The Workshop Technician works under the supervision of the Head of Learning Area (Technologies) in conjunction with the Assistant Workshop Technician to support the Technologies department in the preparation of materials, with the maintenance of equipment and materials inventories, and by assisting teachers during class time in the workshop environment.
The ability to work well independently and within a team environment are key requirements, along with effective organisational and time management skills.
On appointment, the successful applicant will require a current Working with Children Check and a Western Australia Department of Education National Police History Check (NPHC).

Arts Administration Officer

Mazenod College is a Catholic Secondary Boys Day / Boarding School conducted by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate with an enrolment of 880 boys including 80 Boarding students.

The Arts Administration Officer performs a range of administrative tasks to support staff and students within the Arts Department and to facilitate an environment for the delivery of Arts education programs, co-curricular and extra-curricular events. Administrative duties within The Arts Department include the management of the instrumental program, assisting with the organisation of Music and Drama based special events and assisting with co-curricular and extracurricular programs.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills and demonstrate a keen interest in the fields of Music, Drama and Visual Art within an educational setting.
The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday during school terms only, that is 40 weeks per year.
