Boarding Supervisors
Multiple positions and shifts available.
Commencing January 2024
The Principal of Mazenod College welcomes applications from interested members of the community to be employed as Boarding House Supervisors in our Cebula Boarding Community. The Boarding Supervisor is in a position of immense trust and must be committed to ensure that the safety and wellbeing of children is foremost in their decision making and actions in the performance of their role.
Boarding supervisors provide high quality supervision while maintaining appropriate behaviours when engaging with children that are consistent with College policies as well as legislative requirements.
Boarding Supervisors are an integral part of the Cebula Boarding Community and are essential to the pastoral well-being of our boarding students. The Boarding Supervisor will promote the safety and wellbeing of children from a diverse range of backgrounds including children of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander descent.
Shifts available include Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 5pm to 10.30pm, Saturday, Sunday from 9am to 5pm. Applications are welcome from suitable candidates who may want one or multiple shifts. Weeknight shifts from 3pm to 10.30 may also be available. Applicants may also be interested in joining our weeknight/weekend relief pool of supervisors.
RESIDENTIAL OPPORTUNITIES
Residency is an exciting opportunity for people looking to have flexibility with their work arrangements and access to accommodation and meals. The successful applicant will also play a vital role in the pastoral development and growth of young men who live away from home while they embark on their secondary educational journey.
Residency can be full time or part time and the structure of the shifts over the fortnight roster is negotiable. The residency component of the role regarding times and days are flexible and negotiable. When the supervisor is in residence, they are provided with an apartment free of rent, meals, utilities including internet and cleaning services.
On appointment, the successful applicants must have a current and valid Working with Children Check, a Western Australia Department of Education National Police History Check (NPHC) and a current First Aid certificate. Holding a Bronze Medallion qualification is advantageous.

HASS Teacher

Mazenod College is a Catholic Secondary Boys Day / Boarding School conducted by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate with an enrolment of 850 boys.
Mazenod College is seeking applications from innovative and enthusiastic teachers to join the HASS Department. The successful applicant will specialise in one of the ATAR HASS disciplines and have experience with lower school HASS curriculum.
All staff support the Oblate values and ethos of the College as well as its co-curricular activities. Applicants must be fully supportive of the objectives and ethos of Catholic education.
Teachers who join Mazenod can expect opportunities to grow in their teaching through a whole-school teacher development programme. Teacher of Learning Support
Part-Time Ongoing position - Numeracy

Mazenod College is seeking applications from innovative and enthusiastic teachers to join the Learning Diversity Department. The Learning Support teacher will work with students who require specific targeted interventions in all learning areas. Experience and qualifications in Learning Support teaching will be a requirement for the role with specific pedagogical knowledge in numeracy intervention.

Teacher Librarian

Mazenod College is a Catholic Secondary Boys Day / Boarding School conducted by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate with an enrolment of 850 boys.
Mazenod College is seeking applications from innovative and enthusiastic librarians for a temporary Semester One 2024 contract as leave replacement. The role encompasses the coordination of library services to students and staff. While the role does not have a formal teaching component, the appointment of a Teacher Librarian is preferable. Librarians without a teaching degree are encouraged to apply based on the following;
The successful applicant will be proficient with Follett Destiny library management system, SCIS, ClickView, Microsoft Access, and copyright regulations relevant to a school setting. The successful candidate will have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, data entry skills, excellent organisational skills and an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
