Mazenod College is seeking applications from enthusiastic and suitably qualified Teacher Assistants to join our Learning Support Team.
This role will suit candidates who are passionate about learning, childhood development and provide excellent pastoral care of students. The successful candidate will have a passion for providing pastoral and educational support to lower-secondary aged students.
The following essential criteria applies to the position:
- Hold a Certificate III in School Based Education Support (or equivalent) qualification from a recognised education institution or demonstrate appropriate workplace experience.
- Current Department of Education Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and Working with Children Check.
- Experience working with Upper-Primary/Lower-Secondary students
- Sound oral and written communication skills, including the ability to interact with students, parents and teaching professionals.
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as a member of a team.

Workshop Technician

The Workshop Technician works under the supervision of the Head of Learning Area (Technologies) in conjunction with the Assistant Workshop Technician to support the Technologies department in the preparation of materials, with the maintenance of equipment and materials inventories, and by assisting teachers during class time in the workshop environment.

Arts Administration Officer

The Arts Administration Officer performs a range of administrative tasks to support staff and students within the Arts Department and to facilitate an environment for the delivery of Arts education programs, co-curricular and extra-curricular events. Administrative duties within The Arts Department include the management of the instrumental program, assisting with the organisation of Music and Drama based special events and assisting with co-curricular and extracurricular programs.
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication and organisation skills and demonstrate a keen interest in the fields of Music, Drama and Visual Art within an educational setting.
The successful applicant will work Monday to Friday during school terms only, that is 40 weeks per year.
