Mazenod College Boarding Scholarships - Joining your family with ours!

Mazenod College is proud to have played a part in the education of the many young men who have called our Cebula Residential Community home since its establishment by the Oblate Fathers over 55 years ago.  At the heart of our Mazenod mission to serve regional, remote and rural students and their families, is the Mazenod Boarding Experience, built around the Oblate values and an understanding of how young men best live and learn. In continuing our Boarding tradition and commitment, we are delighted to be able to offer a number of Boarding scholarships for students entering Year 7 and 10 in 2024.

In addition, current Year 9 Mazenod College Boarding students, displaying general excellence and a strong capacity for Boarding/College involvement, are eligible to apply for a scholarship valued at $3000 per annum for the duration of their education at the College (Years 10-12).

All applicants will be required to attend an interview with the College Principal.

Tuition Scholarships

Mazenod College offers two scholarships per year level, each for approximately half tuition fee. To be eligible students must also have demonstrated a significant contribution to the Mazenod community.

Most Outstanding Academic Student

This scholarship (Years 7-10) is awarded to the student who achieves the highest average across the five core subject areas; Religion, Mathematics, English, Science and Humanities and Social Sciences. It is awarded for the period of one academic year and recipients may receive it more than once in their time at the College. The final grade average over the student’s entire program of study may also be considered.

The Year 12 scholarship is awarded to the Year 11 student with the highest projected Australian Tertiary Admission Rank. Satisfactory performance in Religious Education is also considered.

The Oblates of Mary Immaculate Medal - “Leave Nothing Undared”

“Leave nothing undared” is a core value of St Eugene de Mazenod encouraging students to pursue personal excellence, actively contribute to the College community and demonstrate the values of the College including Respect and Dignity, Courage and Passion, and Compassion and Charity. Each scholarship is named after a past Rector of the College. It is awarded for the period of one academic year and recipients may receive it more than once in their time at the College.

Madalah Scholarships

MADALAH Limited is a not-for-profit organisation that offers secondary and tertiary education scholarships for Indigenous students, primarily from remote and regional communities, to WA’s leading boarding schools and Australian universities. MADALAH secondary scholarships provide support to students from Year 7-12. These scholarships are administered by MADALAH on behalf of the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA). We are a partner school with MADALAH and therefore enrolled students may be eligible.
