A Helping Hand for Those Who Need It Most
The Shopfront is a warm and caring charitable service run by the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth. They offer practical assistance, referral services, and support to those in need in the Perth community. Visitors can enjoy food and drink while receiving help with a range of issues, including accommodation, budgeting, depression, hunger, loneliness, and addictions.
The Shopfront also provides advocacy and referral services for people with health and homeless issues, and offers mutual help programs for those experiencing distress and suffering. By providing a welcoming space for visitors to socialise, make friends, and receive support, The Shopfront creates a sense of belonging and community.

Outreach at the Cathedral
Starting in Term 2, students from Mazenod and St Brigid’s have joined with volunteers from The Shopfront to provide outreach to those in need at St Mary’s Cathedral. The students have provided hospitality to the visitors with hot drinks, soup and toasted sandwiches.
This form of outreach to the CBD is becoming a fixture for our senior students wanting to engage in Christian Service experiences as volunteers. A number of the students, who went on the Rosies Immersion to Brisbane when they were in Year 11, are now volunteering with The Shopfront's Outreach at the Cathedral. This has created a wonderful connection between our partnerships with both Rosies and The Shopfront.
