‘Come, learn what you are in the eyes of God’

Simon Harvey enjoyed a 20-year association with St Norbert College in Queens Park before taking up his new role as the Principal at Mazenod.

He first joined St Norbert College as a Year 8 student in 1984, becoming Student Council President the year, he graduated, 1988, and after university, returned to teach Physical and Outdoor Education at the school. Mr Harvey then worked at other Catholic schools including Chisholm in Bedford and latterly Trinity College as Deputy Headmaster before returning to St Norbert College as the Principal in 2017.

A father of three, Mr Harvey has a reputation as a knowledgeable, supportive and discerning leader and educator. He is known for bringing a sense of unity and common purpose across the staff, students and families and connects with people in a genuine and authentic manner.

Mr Harvey is at his happiest when he is wandering out amongst the students during recess or lunch, or when he is attending student sports. His friendly and engaging manner immediately disarms people and makes them feel that he has their best interests at heart. And, in case you were wondering, Mr Harvey is a diehard Dockers fan!

On behalf of the Mazenod Community we would like to welcome Mr Harvey, and look forward to many wonderful years with you at our College.
