‘Come, learn what you are in the eyes of God’

On Thursday 25 November the College celebrated White Ribbon Day.

White Ribbon Australia’s aim is to engage men to make women's safety a man's issue. White Ribbon Australia operates to end men’s violence against women. Their focus is on mobilising men and boys and the community in a social movement to take action to eliminate men's violence and abuse against women. This is an important message and a great opportunity for our students to be leaders within society now and in the future.

This year's initiatives were led by the Year 10 Leadership Group whose aim was to raise money and awareness around domestic violence against women. The leaders started the day by coming into Form classes to sell their handmade White Ribbon’s and talking to students about the movement. Posters and information packs were distributed throughout classrooms for a visual message to be present throughout the day. The leaders also sold icy poles at lunchtime with all proceeds going to White Ribbon.
