‘Come, learn what you are in the eyes of God’

In the final game of the round robin competition, it was a top of the table clash between these strong teams.

The Mazenod team added three debutants to the side, with Liam Jones, Blake Daff and Alex Kramer all playing their first games for the team. Churchlands jumped out of the blocks, with the first two goals of the match.  The Mazenod team quickly adjusted to the intensity of the match, kicking the next three goals, as Ryan Letessier, the Brockbernd brothers and Joe Edmonds wrestled back control of the midfield battle.

The defenders repeatedly put their body on the line and it was great to see their continually improving ball use and decision making. The pressure and tackling by the whole side was brilliant and pivotal to the success of the team.  In the end, Mazenod proved too strong for a gallant Churchlands team.
