‘Come, learn what you are in the eyes of God’

The student leadership body recently launched an initiative to raise funds to purchase a water purifier for an Oblate Parish in Sri Lanka.

Chronic kidney disease is a major problem faced by the people of mid-north Sri Lanka due to contaminated drinking water caused by the fertilizers and chemicals from the farming industry. After just three weeks, the $1600 required was raised.

Through the generosity of students and parents, a water purifier will be established in the Parish of Anuradhapura. This will be utilized by around 70 families and make a big difference to health in the area.

This is a fine example of our boys following the path of St Eugene De Mazenod and helping those less fortunate than ourselves.  Well done.
